Symphonic
Mariachi Champaña Nevín performs wonderful music of Praise and
Celebration from Mexico. Jeff Nevin's gorgeous and amazing version of the
"Missa Mariachi" or "Mariachi Mass" is paired with mariachi versions of Schubert's
"Ave Maria" and Pachelbel's Canon, among other classical favorites. And just
for kicks, a healthy dose of the lively, fun, joyous music that mariachi is
known for may be thrown in! Prepare to be moved and inspired! This program
was designed specifically for special performances in larger churches where
congregations would enjoy experiencing modern and traditional sacred and celebratory
music from our neighbors to the south.
Featuring Symphonic Mariachi Champaña Nevín with Mexican Soprano Florencia Tinoco Barone in recital, with optional folklorico dancers.
