Mariachi Champaña Nevín is the only ensemble in the world to include as its members principal or former principal strings and brass from major symphony orchestras (including the San Diego Symphony, Orquesta Sinfonico Nacional de Mexico, New Mexico Symphony, Orquesta de Baja California, and others) performing along with current or former members of the finest mariachis in the world (including Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan, Mariachi Sol de Mexico, Los Camperos de Nati Cano and others). Depending on the aim of a particular performance, the mariachi may contain different "mixes" of these players. For example, the largest "Symphonic Mariachi Champaña Nevín" will contain everyone, while more "traditional-Mexican" programs may contain just 7-8 players (drawing from the life-long mariachi musicians listed below).
